Leaf Springs
I just ordered my new Leafs from ALCAN Springs. Very easy to work with. They should be ready in 3-4 weeks. Will let everyone know when I get them here and installed. I only did the rears right now to get rid of the blocks.

me too! curious how it works out. I have blocks and I also have an uninstalled shackle flip, but I would like to go with just springs...let us know

Yes, They are going to be 4" lift springs. They are custom built to what you do with your rig. So for the hard core off road guy they will be different from the street driven guy. Mine will be a little of both mainly street driven but like to venture off the pavement every so often. Plus I will be towing a boat with mine ( gotta go the lake in a convertible!). I cant wait to get rid of the saggy stock springs and those terrible blocks. One other nice thing about them is they are pretty much the same price as you can buy pre made stuff from the major lift companies and I should have a better ride with these springs compared to those.

Each application is different so if you ordered some they may be a different price. The way I have mine set up they are 240 each side.

I bought a full set (front and rear) last summer for my resto. Haven't installed them yet but they look great sitting in my garage
. When I get my frame painted (soon hopefully) I can install them and get pics also.Went with 6" fronts and 2" rears with a ORD shackle flip. Cost for the springs and ubolts was about $1100 IIRC. |

Just got the call from ALCAN, My springs will be shipping today! Hopefully will get a chance to install them soon after they arrive.

Awesome. I had all sorts of problems with add-a-leaf and blocks on the back of mine. 4" lift rear springs was one of the best things I have done to the truck!

Well UPS dropped off a couple packages yesterday. They delivered one leaf spring pack and the box of Ubolts I ordered. The other leaf pack did not show up. I tracked it this morning and it ended up all the way in New York! Thank you UPS for delaying my spring install!

Installed the springs on saturday. Went really well. Only took me about 3 hrs start to finish and I did it all with hand tools. Had some help from my father in law as well. The new springs ride great. The only issue I have now is a driveline vibration at hwy speeds. I think it may have changed the drive line angle a bit. I just need to get back under and check things out. I am so glad I went with the custom springs! If I ever do another truck I will not order premade springs again. Custom is the only way to go! I did not get any pictures during the install, the camera died during all the easter egg hunt activities we had thiis weekend.
