Brothers Vintage Gauge Set?
Anyone using these gauges from Brothers? Just wondering what your opinion on them is.
I like the idea of them being the exact fit. http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodin...number=VGP5306 |

Re: Brothers Vintage Gauge Set?
Ouch, those are pretty expensive!
I used http://www.newvintageusa.com/ Woodward series gauges. They look pretty like the original ones. At $425 they're a lot cheaper but unfortunately are not a true bolt in. There's a bit of work to get them to fit. You can add on B*llet mounting rings(more $$$) or sacrifice your original gauges to make mounts for them. Here's how mine turned out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/2601498...7622841898720/ Oh...... and they work great! Last edited by BigJock; 03-05-2011 at 05:20 PM. |

Re: Brothers Vintage Gauge Set?
x2 on the New Vintage... not as costly for you US types... unlike us with the km/h setup... I machined my own adapters, but the site explains how to use stock bezels and modify them to fit...
Here's mine... Cheers! Ted. PS The adapters are machined from T-6061 aircraft grade aluminum... 1" thick

Re: Brothers Vintage Gauge Set?
Nice job on the adapters Thadius.
I took the more 'basic' route as you can see from my pic. As a thrifty Scot I have a reputation to uphold! You know the one, short arms and deep pockets! I didn't know the Canadians used KPH. That's one thing us 'Brits' are hanging onto MPH and proper money, none of that 'Euro' nonsense! |
