Door lock removal/reinstall help
I've looked up a few threads but didn't find anything with my issue. So i'm reinstalling new door locks for my 67 K10 and the "pawl" wont catch onto the "C" notch I guess you would call it. Any help would be appreciated. I've never seen the door locks work because the previous owner did not have the keys. Thanks in advance.

Re: Door lock removal/reinstall help
The "pawl" has to be oreinted for the door, (left or right door) so I suspect that the "pawl" needs to be changed. The other thought is that the door locks are not matched to the correct door.

Here are a couple of pictures. Like Jim said there is a right and left. First one is what your pawl should look like and the second is how it should set in the latch. If you roll the window down you can see the latch with a good flashlight... LockDoc

Re: Door lock removal/reinstall help
Thanks, when I do look in there that is what I see. I pulled the passenger lock and tried to install the new one. Maybe I was using the wrong replacement one. I'll be trying it again in a little bit. Thanks again.
