Ok guys I need ur help

You guys haven't let me down yet. I'm rebuilding my 292 and I can't remove the harmonic balancer. I tried a 3 jaw pulled and keep breaking the tips on the pulley grooves the 3 holes that bolts go in for the other style puller don't work pulled the threads. This dam thing is stuck on good man. I havevto bu a new one since it's broken but cutting itboff is my last solution please help. Thanks

Re-tap the holes that pulled out to the next size, use new bolts. Once you get the puller re-mounted and under tension whack the center bolt on the puller with a BFH once or twice, then turn the center bolt on the puller a little more. Repeat as necessary. If that doesn't work, attache the puller as described above but instead of whacking it, apply heat to the hub of the balancer and turn the center bolt of the puller. Take 2 asprin and call me in the morning.

Soak the shaft with PB Blaster let is soak on hour or so adding more every 15 minutes and then the BFH ! ! !
PB Blast all your tough nuts, it works great, here in the middle of the pacific nothing but salt air and RUST but the blaster takes care of stubborn nuts and bolts

excellent description of the proper way to use a puller// i find less than 10% of people know and ends up in stripped threads and broken tools by not relieveing pressure with the hammer wack step
