To bridge or not to bridge

OK, because my truck will be my daily driver, for awhile and they are easy to break into.. I'm not going to install my good audio equipment.
I have my Ideas on this but want feed back

I'll be running my 1997 kenwood kac744 amp(4 channel 80 watts each)
and my jbl gts180x (2 channels 75 watts each)

I have 6.5 seperates in kicks with tweeters right above the a/c vents at dash ends and 6.5 in front of door and 6 by 9 in rear of doors..

I'll run the kicks on the jbl
and the doors off the kenwood, BUT
should I run the kenwood as a 4 channel and each channel to one speaker
or run the kenwood as a 2 channel (bridged 2 channel 160w each)
and daisy chain the two door speakers..
what set up will give the most head room..

memorys foggy (on meds)
is 2) 4 ohm speakers wired + to + and - to - 4 ohms or 2

and if it's +to- and + to - is 4 ohm. how will the reversed polarity affect the sound,, and will it help or hurt the proformance of the speakers that are sharing the same air space..

Do you need 160W (RMS?) to your door speakers? Sounds like quite a bit to me, most speakers can't handle that capacity. My type R alpine 6x5's can only handle 100W RMS, maybe only 70W RMS.

I believe you are asking if the resistance will be halved if running speakers in parallel. Yes they would. Running 2 speakers off a bridged 2 channels would effectively cut the total resistance in half (parallel).

I would run the 4x door speakers individually. I expect 80W would be plenty per speaker. It would also sound cleaner than running 2xbridges and in parallel.

I once plugged my subs in backwards and they sounded much worse, hardly any power was recognized, can't say the same about speakers but I would not recommend it based on that experience.
