This look any better?!?

Guys,
I've been wanting to ditch the 22s on my truck ever since the moment I first laid eyes on it

They're just too "Ghetto" for me.

I think a truck should still look like a truck, not something else...I kinda like wheels 'n tires with a bit of sidewall on them (I know, guess I'm getting old!)

So I bought me a set of grey spoke 18x9.5 Coys C5's with Toyo Proxes S/T 255/50R18 on the front and 285/50R18 on the back.
Used a 1 1/4" adapter/spacer in the back.

What do you guys think?!?
I like it; think it has a bit of a muscle vibe this way...

erik

Old wheels;

New wheels;

Forgive me; I haven't painted the rear drums black just yet...
Also plan on lowering it a bit more. Nothing radical...

Re: This look any better?!?

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Was afraid I might get dissed for choosing the "smaller" 18" wheels instead of the popular 20 or 22 combos.

Think the cover is a CheckMate FX flushmount tonneau.
Pics don't show it very well, but it's been painted body color.
Looks nice, lifts ok, but isn't very watertight

On the other hand; my truck is a weekend / cruise-night toy, so it won't be out much when it's pouring outside.

I wouldn't be happy with the cover if this was my DD though...
The leaks and no means of locking the tailgate, so stuff in the bed is bassically up for grabs
Unless I'd relocate the tailgate handle to the inside and put locks on/in the tonneau...

Re: This look any better?!?

Sometimes going to a smaller wheel completes the look and stance of the truck better than larger wheels. I like your style. Nice choice.

Since you mentioned it, yes it looks good but 20's would have looked better.

Looks awesome... I agree 100% regarding having a bit of sidewall on a truck. On top of that, you might not have to look out for potholes quite so much!

Re: This look any better?!?

Are those 18s all the way around? For some reason the back wheels look smaller to me. It looks 10 times better now, though. Good choice!

I think they look smaller because the brakes aren't black like they are up front..

I like the new ones much better!

that looks 100 times better! athough 20" coys would look good too...it was more the style of wheel not the size that made it look bad!....now just a little lower...
