proportion valve

Any suggestions where I could purchase a disc brake proportion valve for my '71 c20? I tried the local NAPA, Kragens, etc. I know LMC has them, but they're like $140.00..

I recently replaced my master cylinder, but fluid is still transferring from the rear reservoir to the front. So I suspect the proportion valve is leaking.

Thanks!

Re: proportion valve

I had the same problem after buying a new master cylinder from advance auto. Like you, I suspected the prop valve and bought a known good one and it made no difference, Its a fairly simple device that doesn't often fail. Bought a remanufactured master cyl from Napa and that solved my problem. Some of the new parts that are made overseas are junk, I would try another Master Cylinder, preferably a reman.
Good luck

Jeff
