Model Sloop Project

Here's a couple of pics of a model sloop I'm building for a client. It's a modified Friendship Sloop which is a style developed for lobstering off the coast of Maine.
The model is not complete, but is beginning to show it's heritage.

Re: Model Sloop Project

Thank you!

It started years ago building kits, then progressed to scratch-building when I couldn't find a model of what I wanted to build. I do it now as a side-line for displays in doctors offices, restaurants, interior decorators etc. If you broke down the "payday" to an hourly wage, it's not worth it, but there's a great deal of satisfaction in creating something from a pile of "lumber". Here's a couple pics of schooners that were done a few years ago.
