72 Chevy Blazer 2wd LS powered

So I thought I better start a build thread for this ol blazer, it started life as a 2wd CST air conditioned blazer. It has belonged to two different board members and has made the trip from North Carolina to Lousiana and now its new home in Texas. I still cant decide if I am going to build a roadster or not on this one. I will be converting to a 67 Chevy front clip. I have a 5.3 LS motor and auto transmission that will be the drivetrain. It will be getting a porterbuilt drop front crossmember with rack and pinion steering. I have not made up my mind on bagging it or just using drop spindles and springs.

Here are some pictures of the morning after I brought it home.

Re: 72 Chevy Blazer 2wd LS powered

Sunday morning after we got home I have my son come out and help me start pulling the front clip and get it unloaded in to its new home.

I also picked up a brand new core support, outer rocker panels, doors with new outer skins, an oem chevy tailgate that is straight with no rust or dings and a 67 chevy grille that is near perfect.

So we moved it into the garage and I finally got to work on it some more yesterday. I finished stripping the AC stuff, all the wiring, windshield, interior except the drivers seat, steering column and hard top.

Now for the cancer issues, here is a partial list of parts I can think of off the top of my head that need replaced and some pictures. Inner Cowl, outer rocker panels, rocker backing plate, front section of left side floor board, both rocker box end caps, left rocker box, both wheels wells will be changed only one is rusted through, the back part of the bed, the whole right side of the bed/quarter panel up to the door will be replaced, thats all I can think of for now, lol.

Right Rocker Panel area

Left side rocker area

Left side rocker box end

Left side rocker box

Right side edge of bed floor

Left side edge of bed floor

Right side wheel well

Any updates on this build? I'm curious how it turned out, if tuckerracing still owns it.
