Lowering Max Tire Size

hey guys new to the forum. I have an 85 GMC 1500 and was planning on dropping it 4/5. but wanted to know if the tires i just bought would work with that drop. they are 275/60 r15. the rim is 10 inches wide.

Also is that the lowest possible drop to go on the truck without a cnotch.
thanx in advance. i know it gets posted numerous time.

Re: Lowering Max Tire Size

Ususally you can lower the back up to 6" drop without a c-notch.
(but,... some trucks will be lower than others depending on the amount of sag in your 25 year old leaf springs)

A 4" drop up front is also very streetable.

The problem is your wheel and tire selection.
10" rims all the way around will cause issues if they aren't inside the fender lip.
275/60 will work fine on the rear, with the correct backspaced 10" rim,... or on an 8" rim.
Up front they are probably too wide.
I can't view your pics,... sorry.
