Re: pics of your different colored frames ?
I primered mine after alot of wirewheeling and grinding, and good wash, and then painted it with hammertone finish rustoleum paint. I used a gunmetal for the frame, and a silver for the axel, link bars, control arms, raised crossmember, ect. It looks different than just a satin black frame, and I can easily touch it up if I need to. I have had several people ask if I had it powdercoated. This is the best pic I have, sorry I dont have a close up.

I am leaning towards one of these 3 colors.

Re: pics of your different colored frames ?
I found this thread, pics start at post #36.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=434093&page=2 When I showed it to my daughter, she loved it, and now she wants to paint some of the chassis parts electric blue, and the frame a dark gray. I was thinking some Harley orange parts on the chassis, with a dark gray truck for mine, would be cool and different. But that's a ways out! We actually had quite a conversation last night about different colored frames, and how that would really catch someone's attention at a car show. Last edited by chevy_man5; 03-10-2011 at 10:17 AM. |
