2.5" Exhaust Tubeing to big???
I have 2.25" duals that exit behind the rear axle and I wanted to got to a new exhaust exiting infront of the rear axle at 45 angles. My question is is that would it hurt to make my new exhaust out of 2.5" tubing and have it exit before the rear axle? Thanks

should be no problem. above that you may run into problems with exhaust velocity on a basically stock 350. otherwise should be ok.

yeah, 2.5 should work fine. IMO 2.25 that isn't mandrel bent is too small.

actually, the larger the pipe (not mandral bent), but on most exhaust benders will tend to "suck the pipe down " on the bends. 2 1/2 & 3" pipe crush more on the bends than 2 or 2 1/4". 2 1/4" pipe is plenty for a stock 350, & the bends behind the mufflers wont hurt the flow as much as the bends up close to the heat. bigger is louder on the tailpipes, but you can add a set of 3 or 3 1/2x 18" chrome cans to the 2 1/4" pipe & it will sound off ! 3" tail pipes are too loud on my longhorn.......or maybe im getttin too old
