What total drop did you end up with?

You know,... you will just want to keep going lower.
It's an addiction.

Re: HELP with CPP lowering kit

4" in the back, 3" up front. Glad I did the rear first, it was the hardest. When a bolt has been in the same place for 40+ years it doesn't seem to want to move to easily. Used my grinder quite often. Oddly the front was a breeze. Everything came out rather easy. I got alittle confused with the shocks but after trying to install one I figured out right quick which set went where. I am satisfied with the results. I could really use a garage tho.... Thanks lolife99, Won't be long i'll be buggin you some more, Ordered the park brake cables from inline tube, should be here any day.. Thanks again

Re: HELP with CPP lowering kit

No, wish I had. Kinda had my hands full. I'll be glad to answer anything I can for ya, when you get started. Best advice I can give you now would be, do the rear first, it was the hardest and took the most time, Only because you have to change the location of the shocks, have to grind or drill the rivets out. I used a grinder. I bought the kit from CPP. It had everything I needed, didn't have to run to the parts store for bolts or this or that. Good luck, I'm sure you'll like the results.

Re: HELP with CPP lowering kit

Did you go with tubular control arms on your set up? Was there any welding involved?

Re: HELP with CPP lowering kit

no i didnt go with the tube. I just used what was already there, I got the springs and shocks for the front and back, shock relocators for the rear, upper and lower brackets, trac bar, all the bolts were included, and the spring keepers top and bottom for the rear, dropped it 4' in the rear and 3' up front. I'm very satisfied with it.

Re: HELP with CPP lowering kit

Yes, coils up front and in the back. I haven't had the alignment checked. I haven't really felt much difference in it. But I am planning to change my wheel and tire set-up. I will defiantly have it done then. Thanks

Re: HELP with CPP lowering kit

took my truck to have the alignment checked. Need upper ball joints. Just gonna replace the whole thing, tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, sleeves, and the idler. pitman arm looked ok. might just change it to. I've already replaced the upper and lower bearings in the steering column. Hope my steering jack doesn't start leaking...
