Post pics of your garage / workshop
Ok guys, I will start off. This is my dad's new shop that now contains my truck and his. We am very proud of how the new shop turned out. This is great for me to be able to spend time with him building our trucks together. Of course, we added insulation, ac & heat. My truck is just the frame as shown. We just got into his and will installing the Jag rear end. He put a jag rear in a 57 Chevy truck he restored a few years ago and loved it. Anyway, let's see everyone's workshop.

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
That's not a garage , that looks more like a living room with tools and trucks in it ...... It will take me a few weeks to hoe mine out .. I cleaned it out and got a storage unit last summer .. Then tore into my 63 project , then it got cold ans nowy out so it became a storgae place with truck,... so I have some cleanning to do before I can take any photos.....oh and I have 2 garages ...By the way ,I like those old craigars..

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
Yes, all steel construction. We started with a 24 x 24. We built this new section which is also 24 x 24. So 48 x 24 total and still don't have enough room. It worked out real good anyway. My dad owned 2 Texaco Service Stations and i grew up working for him at the stations. I guess we are both kinda addicted to Texaco oil & gas stuff, LOL.

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
Thanks wut......... I will try to put up all the info i have on the jag conversion. They make aftermarket crossmembers but we generally prefer to custom build our own. I am sure this shop will look like a wreck before too long. These pics are right after we moved in. At least we can leave our junk laying in there without fear of a woman complaining about it, LOL.

Here are a couple shots of my garage. It is nothing super special just space for two cars but when I park my 62 4X4 Suburban in it the place gets tight quick.

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
Zack, that wasn't nice. You should have posed the question and then let us ease in with our humble shop dwellings. Before you hit it out of the park with the shop you get to use. Here is my 24x36x12 with 8' high door shop. I feel lucky to have it. I hope to have heat before fall.

LOL Torrey..... I wish my shop was as nice as some of you guys on here. I have seen some on here and over at the HAMB that are unreal. Mine is mostly full of me and my dads years of collecting oil & gas stuff and alot of junk that we will never use. It seems we never have enough room no matter what. |

Re: Post pics of your garage / workshop
Took me about 5 years to save up enough $$$ to get it built, I still have to do bunch of work inside like insulation and finish walls/paint. Once I get it insulated/sheeted, I'll be building a bunch of shelves that will be about 8ft off the floor on two walls for the small stuff. it's work in progress.....
