4 speed to automatic
Im converting my Blazer from sm465/205 to turbo 350/205..Are my drive shaft lengths going to change??
Does my crossmember position change?? Thanks , Randy

No and no. It is the adapter between tranny and xfer case that makes up any difference in length with this swap.

My 350/205 has the same driveshafts as it did when it was a 3-speed/205. The crossmember under the tranny/t-case didn't even move. I just torched out the rivets from the center section of the crossmember and replaced them with bolts when the new tranny/t-case was in.

Andy, The 4 speed still works good. Im converting to automatic so i can improve my 100 yard dirt drag times. Plus....I'm tired of shiftin'.....Ever since i was 16 all my daily drivers were manual's...It sucks in traffic and i'm always spillin my beer....So .....automatic here i come.

Ahhh, good point. I forgot you actually race that thing in the mud. You gonna install a higher stall verter? I find my 1900 stall is invisable in traffic, but when I nail it she jumps quite a bit harder.
