Hey folks...tax returns coming in soon so you know what that means!

more truck parts! I have been wanting to get a dash pad for a while and now that I have the inside basically done painting I'm ready...I've looked at LMC and they have it for like $400 dollars! I also checked Classic Industries and it's like $200.....I've seen guys get a 81-87 dash pad from them and it be good but I don't know anyone to have gotten a 73-78 (and 78-80) dash pad on here....has anybody? Cause if they have and it's a good quality item that's what I'll be getting......

I just saw some repro dashes at a local car show this weekend. They looked really nice to me. Heres a link to the website but the dashes are not listed. You will have to give them a call. http://www.tommyspickupparts.com/

I read that one....it's about the 81-87 pad...I was asking about the 73-80 that's different...and I didn't know of anyone here who has gotten that type from Classic Industries

Got mines from Classic Industries a few weeks ago. Good quality, but i haven't had a chance to put it in yet. I'm currently redoing my entire interior.

Yeah I'm redoing mine to...just finished painting the metal last weekend.....so you like yours? and when you install can you update if it fits well? If so thanks a million!

no reason to get angry...I can't paint mine......1) because I already chunked it and 2) because I had 2 holes the size of Texas in mine.......and had cracks running all through it....

lol right im not mad i just dont understand why people spend so much money in these hard times on stuff that is so easy

There is nothing easy about turning up a nice 73-80 dash that's not cracked, warped, holes, etc without spending some cash.

Some people on here have show trucks so they'd want new things that are in real good shape....if my dash hadn't been so bad I would have definitely painted it....or maybe tweed it or something...but I'm NOT going to pay the $400 dollars for one from LMC...that's just ridiculous....

oh i understand but yea lmc is terrible i would never spend that on a crappy lmc dash true that.But right now im buying everything for my truck on lmc 500$ worth im redoing my whole truck cab and stock grill it gets pricey there such sharks i tell yu.

The Accuform dash cap I got for my 83 last summer is badly cracked now, so I am not a fan of dash caps. I wish there was some way to cover the dash with thin metal or wood so it would last and fit properly. The desert sun wrecks anything vinyl or plastic.

yea very funny thing to say hu i guess im a idiot for spending all that capital on so called top notch stuff and the rest of the idiots here to.Maybe they should know this to.But dont take my comment out of context i was talking about the dash and by terrible i meant pricing.
