What Is It?

I snagged this at a flea market couple years ago when I had a '91 4x4 Suburban. Used it in the console to keep toll road change and such but never really knew what it's original purpose was. I has what appears to be a water proof seal at the opening and the lanyard has a sliding button to lengthen or shorten the lanyard loop. Anyone know what it is or was used for? Don't have the Suburban anymore but kept this just because never seen another one.

Re: What Is It?

Since I don't smoke and haven't for many years I don't have a cigarette pack to try in it, but I do agree that's what it looks like. Just seems rather funny that it would be produced for that purpose. It does have a "Made In China" sticker on the bottom but then we don't make much of anything in this country anymore so that in itself isn't significant. Still wondering?

Re: What Is It?

They sell a lot of those around here for people to put their stuff in when they go tubing on the river. ID, cash, cigarettes, cell phone, digital camera, ipod...

Re: What Is It?

Guess that makes sense for use as a water tight storage container. Not sure what I need it for as no longer have the Suburban but makes a neat container. Thanks for the help.
