homemade tools
some of you guys have probably done this... but if not it sure saves me a lot of time. this cab cart was made by dicing up an old frame. i'm a tall guy and this cart allows me to work on both sides of the floor. the best thing is by using the body mounts i can set up my door gaps like the cab was mounted on a frame.
what other time or effort saving tools have you made. please share... it helps us all. |

Re: homemade tools
My lady's brothers' invention. Designed to use with "come-a-longs" to remove and replace cabs...

Very, very, creative. Necessity is the Mother of Invention, and it's alive and well on this site.

Re: homemade tools
heres a handy steering wheel stand for fixing cracks and painting. made from a semi ring gear and a old lamp shade. it holds the steering shaft and rotates to make it easier to work.

[QUOTE=Vintage Windmills;5051560]Clemdaddy, nice tools! Love your shop, whats the story on it?
thanks windmills, like everybody... our place is a work in progress. 8 years ago it was a feature on HGTV for houses made from commercial property. for more see the thread in this forum called "60-66 guys show us your shop" by lakeroadster. there's a few pics and a short bio. thanks again, clem |
