Seat Belt Question

I have a 67 C-20 Custom Camper win I bought it about a 2 months it came with shoulder seat belts. They came out of a Chrysler, one is broken and needs to be replaced. Now win I see seat belts for sale on this site they are all lap belts. My question is did shoulder seat belts even come stock in my truck ? The bolt holes look factory.

Re: Seat Belt Question

Stock? I don't think so, but the trucks did have the shoulder bolt mount built into them, maybe as an option?

Re: Seat Belt Question

I agree. I didn't know if they offered them that early though.

My Dad had them in his '71 GMC.
They were fixed and not too comfy.
Built pretty much like a lap belt but
without quick adjustment.

Re: Seat Belt Question

yes, but not as a 3 point belt. They were as described above, basicly a lap belt that is thrown across your chest.

Re: Seat Belt Question

Also, if I recall, unlike lap belts, you had no 'tail' to pull to adjust it.
I think there was a stay (kind of a clip) above the window
to put it in if you didn't want to use it.

Soooooo many years and such a poor memory..!
