2000 Suburban frame under 1972 Suburban body?

Has anyone put a late model chassis under a 1967-1972 body? I know that the wheelbase is 3 inches off but was not sure of width issues and I assume some fabrication and modification will be needed.

Sounds like a huge headache, what exactly are you trying to accomplish? There may be other routes to take.

Re: 2000 Suburban frame under 1972 Suburban body?

I have a K10 that has had many changes made by previous owners. I want to get a more comfortable ride and have fuel injection. I know that I can swap the engine but my thought is that the advantages of the modern frame and suspension would be worth the headache. My goal is to create a truck that looks like chevy was building a truck today that had the style of a 72 body.
