Help! Do I need to fix my whole cluster!?

I'm going to be fixing a few things on my truck tomorrow & I want to fix the little orange needle that no longer moves, & just sits at park. Is there some easy way to fix it or do I need a whole new cluster? Im sure there lots of these at my local junkyards if theres a quick fix. If not, then I'll fix it another day. Thanks for the help!

it should be connected to the column by some string or something (mine was connected with dental floss) to where when you shift it will move with it......you'd have to take off the instrument bezel to see the string and if you can fix it or not....and no you don't need another cluster (from the information you've given us)....this applies to an automatic (that I'm assuming you have).....

not that great a picture but if you can see right above my column for reference

Yep! that should be your problem....I checked mine when I first got it and found out that the dental floss was broken....also my needle was broken off (how'd that get broken off since it is protected?) I don't know but just get ready to run some string or dental floss to fix it..

whelp, I found the part number but it'll do no good since it's long since been discontinued and there are no stocking dealerships out there. So it looks like either wrecking yard or LMCTRUCK is your best bet.
