What M/C's will fit Astro hydroboost?

I had my local auto recycling center (junk yard) order me an Astro hydroboost & M/C for my 69. Upon receiving the parts it became obvious that the setup originally came through the firewall at a downward angle which causes the master cylinder reservoir to set at an angle when mounted level in my truck. The hydroboost/MC came from a 1996 GMC Safari. My question is, what master cylinders from other vehicles will bolt up and set properly level for my truck OR what reservoirs can I replace the angled one with? Will an original MC for power disc brakes (71-72) work?

You need a HB from an older Astro that doesn't angle down, or at least a bracket to make it sit level. Captainfab on here was selling custom made brackets for them, might try him. And for the original master to work you need to make a spacer to go in the hole in the back of the master because the HB uses a shorter rod. Here's how I did mine, page 6 post #105. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conver...0-4l80e-6.html

Thanks ls1nova71, the adapter plug is just about what i figgered I'd have to do. Either that or come up with a reservoir that sits level on the 96 Astro MC.
