So how do the switches control the motor speed? Is there resistance in the switch that would effect the amount of juice flowing to the motor.

Just trying to figure this one.

well the window motors are fed through the switch, there are no relays to handle the higher current so when the copper contacts inside the switches corrode contact gets worse, ie resistance increases which drops the voltage the motors get.

lol

I have some problems with electric windows too, the pass. side window doesn't want to stay in the window channel when close it, tends to bend outside and slow down untill it pops back in?
Can i adjust the windows from inside the door?

So, if I am understanding ya'll right. If My windows are moving slow, the first thing I should check would be the switches.
My passenger side moves real slow at times, sometimes slower than others but the drivers side usually does fine (usually).

The real professional solution to missing power would be to run your window motors through relays fed from the battery, and the relay coils would be controlled by the stock ignition switch only.
I already converted my headlights to a relay setup myself, i simply love relays :_)

well i had the same problem. my passenger side window would just about stop. it now runs basically the same speed as the driver side. yall must remember, these trucks are old and dont have the tech as the newer ones , so they are not going to run as fast. but here is the kicker. my dad had a F@&D (85) and the windows were real fast, im mean fast. i wish mine went that fast. oh well i guess they need something good on those trucks huh
