Help - Do I need a power steering control valve?

So I am putting together a power steering system from AutoZone and am buying the following parts.

Steering Gear
Power Steering Pump
Crank Pulley
Brackets
Pitman Arm
Brackets
Belt

but they show something called a power steering control valve that is $170 - do I need this too?

Re: Help - Do I need a power steering control valve?

The valve is in your power steering box with the setup that you are looking at.

The 67 power steering used a power steering control valve with the "assist" cylinder.
