for sale or trade: rebuilt 350
Guys, Ive decided to sell the spare 350 sitting in my backyard. Heres the low down on it:
The block was bored .060" It was standerd when I got it, but I messed up the bore [faulty measuring tools the first time] and had to go .060" The heads had a valve job done and all valvesprings were tested. The heads are stock 882 heads. New stock cam+lifters was installed New cast flat top, 4 valve relief pistons [9:1 with the 882's 76cc chambers] Rebuilt stock cast crank, I belive turned 10/10 New stock rings, timing chain and bearings New gaskets Performer intake. This is a "iffy" part. It was well used and given to me for free. It was free because in the back where the water passages hit the manifold [with no where to go] it was badly corroded. I sanded it down and filled and smoothed the bad area with JB weld. It should hold fine, but its somthing you should know. It has re-used pushrods and rocker arms. I also have some stock truck exaust manifolds without air tubes on it. I checked all the clearences myself with plasti guage. Its been sitting in my backyard for a few years now, under a RV shed. It has surface rust, but very light. I havent pulled it apart, so I dont know what it looks like inside. I am selling it as-is. Ive never fired it up, never even cranked it over with a starter. I will sell it out right, or for the right price part it out. Also will trade for big block parts.

I know you have the stuff to test it on a stand . that engine will be fine. open the spark plug holes and shoot some ATF in the holes before you fire it . prelube with distributor tool and your ready. the JB weld is better than the aluminum against water . i repair all types of alum. manifold pitting problems with it. well not JB weld per say some Nuclear grade stuff i get at work that costs more but is the same and then they trow it away when it gets old. DAVE
