Re: anyone running 5/7 drop on a longbed?
ok. here they are.
not sure if its sitting right. think rear end might be lower?? 5/7 kit. front 2 inch spindles, and 2 inch coils, shocks rear. flip kit, shackles, shocks cpp parts. thinking about maybe buying stock shackles for rear. anything look wrong? daily driver. not too bad at all. might be wrong. if shackles aint what i mean to say, then you know what i mean. |

Re: anyone running 5/7 drop on a longbed?
oh...
the damage on pass side, well that came just after me doing my first shot at body work, and paint. did it all in december in jersey, 20-20 degrees. i know, wrong time to do it. learning curve. then put new tires on. got a wawa 2 blocks away. told my wife, ill prob get smashed going to wawa to get smokes when im done. well, actually, damage came after dropping my son at school on a monday, bout 2 weeks after work was done and week after tires. and it was pulling into my driveway. |

Re: anyone running 5/7 drop on a longbed?
shouldnt be??
does it look it? whats pre-load? thought i read that leaf springs need to be tightened with weight of truck on em?? i had some issues with the flip kit, and had to loosen leaf and shackles. then i put em back and tightend everything. but i did it while it was up on jack stands. could this be a problem? |

Re: anyone running 5/7 drop on a longbed?
for sure. Was it level where you parked it for these pictures? Look at ones above the last one, the amount of tire sidewall on the passenger side is different than the driver side.

Re: anyone running 5/7 drop on a longbed?
not too sure if ground was level.
last night at work i took a tape and checked. and it read 1/2 off. think driver side is 1/2 inch lower. again, not sure if i was on level ground. why would i have a difference side to side?? |
