Question about Front Lift springs 70 GMC
I got a pair of Front 4" Ligft Springs in a trade supposedly that would fit my 70 GMC 4x4. I removed the front differential and springs today. When I measured after I first got the springs I measured at the axle not at the spring hanger. The springs I have are 2.5" wide and with the bushings they measure 3". Old springs at bushings measure 3.5". Are these the right springs?
If someone with a lifted truck could do me a favor and measure for me at the end of the springs I would appreciate it. Thanks and hopefully I did not confuse with the way I wrote this. Thanks Ron

Re: Question about Front Lift springs 70 GMC
I think i know what you mean.. the lift springs you got are a bit skinnier where they mount to the frame?.. i can check on mine for measurement, but i know that with the bushing on the leafs we had to hammer them into the mount.. should be snug.. and we had to hammer the old ones out.. so assuming they were same width.
ours is a 71 |

Re: Question about Front Lift springs 70 GMC
Thanks for taking the time and checking. I will have to get some wider bushings.
Thanks again Ron
