Point me in the right direction
I have a 70 c10 long bed and the lower control arms are worn out to the point of not being able to just replace the bushings.
I am wanting to know if 73-87 lower control arms will bolt on directly or what has to be modified? I've searched and searched but I cant find any solid information on what to do? Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

ok, take a left then at the first stop light make a right...... oh wait, not that kind of direction. anyway i don't think they fit without some modification. i would surf ebay for some used or repops, or even better some tubulars since yours are worn out

well some of these people like paying other people to work on there stuff.If you take off your upper and lower A arms can i have them there worth more then the 1973 and up front ends.reason there serviceable and that means a lot means it cheaper working on them you can take them apart at home with out a Press.Ya they for got to tell you about that.Now you have to involve a shop and they get 65.00 -- 85.00 a hour.Reason why i say this Both the upper and lower A arms Unscrew the bushing and they come apart in 3 peaces there so easy to work on if you have a Vise and big sockets and a braker bar your there and there kinda fun
the 1973 you have to Press out the joints and press them back in But be careful you don't go in cockeyed of your going out to buy another A arm you oblong that hole you will never get that joint back in there and the parts for the 1964--72 are the same they came in 1/2 all the way up to 3 ton Bobtail trucks |
