If you ignore the first two digits of the option code, the next three should match the RPO code list. Example "04T60AA" would be T60 Heavy Duty Battery.

Re: SPID Questions

Daddy Brim, There's long code and short code. The short code is contained in the long code and It's the short code that is your RPO code. Short code is 3 characters. On your SPID you have 7 characters. To get to the RPO code drop the first two and the last two. So 04E81AB drop the 04 and the AB and you get E81
Here is a pic of your Spid with the unnecessary characters blacked out.

I'm sorry but I don't know whats goin on with the 3 codes at the bottom. The ones that I didn't black out. A boardmember with more knowlage than me will chime in and tell ya, I'm sure.

EDIT Dantip beat me by 2 min. So I would like to change my response to "What he said"

Re: SPID Questions

Those characters that we told you to drop mean something BUT nobody knows what. Even GM doesn't know. I called GM and the guy said he gets that question a lot and he doesn't know. Here is a SPID with the short code so you can see that's all you really need.

I had a board member tell me years ago that the customer order vehicles had the short code and non-customer-order trucks had the long code. I think it is Plant-Specific.

Re: SPID Questions

The spid in post 1 is from Fremont code Z and it's long code. The spid in post 6 is also from Fremont code Z and it's short code. Also here is a spid from a customer ordered truck with long code. Sorry I can tell you what it's not but I can't tell you what it Is

Re: SPID Questions

Fleet, service, and govt truck spids that I have seen have long code but I haven't seen enough to be sure.

The gcburdic post is chipflyer's website. Just clarifying.
