picked me up a 72 cheyenne super

I sold my 72 cheyenne that i had this past week. I have always wanted me a blue and white cheyenne super. i looked through craigslist and found one that fit the bill. I drove 600 miles to south east kansas to get it. The truck has a 350/700r4 combo. the truck runs and drives great. My plan is to convert it to a short bed. I have a 72 swb frame and bed waiting to make the switch. I also plan on adding a tilt and a tach in as well. All i want to do to this truck is make a daily driver out of it. I will match paint the short as close as i can so that i can leave the patina in the rest of the truck.

Nice truck but I'm curious - wouldn't it have been easier to paint the Cheyenne that you had!

Re: picked me up a 72 cheyenne super

Nice score, will make a great driver. I have the same taste for a driver-quality swb conversion. I think you nailed it on the price, somebody took decent care of the truck...700R4, HEI, new steering wheel, nice tires, decent seat. She's no looker but SOLID from here.

Now get to work!

Nice truck! A Cheyenne Super for $3k is a good deal nowadays. Are you planning on keeping those aluminum slot wheels? I might be interested in them.

Great looking truck!
What do you think of the radio antenna on the drivers side?
I've seen this on plain jain base model trucks.
(where the owner added the antenna)
I'm sure a Cheyenne Super would have had the radio antenna in the correct location.

I think you got a nice truck for the money!

It looks to me that it never came with a radio. It says nothing on the spid about havin a radio. I thought it would have came with a radio as well.
