Rubber leaf spring stops
I just bought a 71 in Cali in order to get it road worthy here in Canada I need the rubber leaf spring stops. I can't find them locally but I am thinking it must be a common part used. Anyone know a part number that will work?
P.S. I've been lurking here a while before I bought another blazer. Great information from the members. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Rubber leaf spring stops
Those look good. Unfortunately I needed them now so my truck could pass inspection tomorrow. I stole some from another truck and made them work, I'll order some.

Re: Rubber leaf spring stops
Since you brought the subject up I have a dumb question. How do you determine what length stops you need after adding a lift? I put a six inch lift on, I'm assuming the stock stops won't do length wise.

Re: Rubber leaf spring stops
Duno any formula too use but the way I see it is if you have 5" of "up Travel" left on your shock then your bumpstop should be 4" above the axle. basically hitting the bumpstop before your shock bottoms out
In my case I have only 4" lift springs with highsteer and a 454 oil pan hanging so my front axel is not so far away from the engine. I had made "drop brackets" for the factory stops to bring them closer but they were too small for the job. So far the ones above have worked great. My oil pan has a self clearing dent in it..too much wheelie pop off the top of a dune heavy too heavy for that!!
