70 Chevy SWB 4x4 build

It is a 70 SWB fleetside that is setting on a newer chevy 4x4 chassie that was cut down (not what I thought I was driving 2.5hrs away to go look at)but I have been looking at several SWB trucks mostly 2wd with the intention of doing the same thing if I could not find 4wd in his price range (buiding for my 14yr old sons first ride.)

So the plan is to build a nice driver for him when he is 16 and hope to make it nice enough to take to a few small town shows.

We plan on taking it off the frame redoing the body mounts (previous owner kinda did a hack job). Rebuild front and rear ends,trans ,tcase, paint the frame and find a fuel injected sbc for it and then start on the body work after we gather the parts plan is to put new bedsides,fenders,rockers,cab corners,and floor patches. He really like the Synergy green on the new Camaros and would like it that color but we will see if that is still the color he wants when we get to that stage.

I will try to update the build often as I love reading and looking at pics of the other builds but it might be awile before we get started as their are alot of parts to gather before we start.

well we bought a 69 lwb 2x for parts or possibly build into a lwb 4x4.
