Hard to beat the old Divco trucks for style, IMO.

Re: '66 milk truck

I saw a GMC school bus like the yellow Chevrolet about an hours drive outside of Montreal near the U.S. Border. Bus body mounted on a one ton frame. Very different.

Re: '66 milk truck

my plans are to do a full frame off resto. on this outside i want to look back to stock when it was an ambulance here in oregon. chevy built like 365 of the front ends and chasise like this this in 42 and sent them to the differant body makers they do not know of the exact number that divco got i have been only able to find 2 other ones back east. paid $500 for it a few years ago. just had the stock motor rebuilt had a knock.

Re: '66 milk truck

I'm dating myself, but remember a time in my childhood when those Divco trucks actually delivered milk in a wire rack to the front porch. I always thought they were very cool looking. And the family doctor even made house calls!

Re: '66 milk truck

man, could i have used one of those in high school! we could get all the gang in one of those & hit the drive in! last time i went to the drive in i had just received a notice from uncle sam. to get my mind off of the impending doom my buddies took me to the drive in. it was ape night! all five planet of the ape movies! hot dogs, boon's farm strawberry wine & warm jax beer. man, were we sick the next morning when we left! what fun!

Back to this Chevy...I would love to have a truck like that. I need something like that for swap meets and flea markets.

In New Orleans the local milk company was Bordens on Ailine Hwy., and I too remember the glass quart jars. I've seen diaper delivery, but not for me obv. just others.
