Which coil to cut? 86 SWB

Getting ready to cut the front coil springs on my 86 SWB for a mild drop. The top and bottom of the stock coil flattens out and fits into an indented spring pocket. What's the preferred end to cut from so it fits in the spring pocket correctly?

Bottom end of the coil. Is your truck level now? Measure it front and back and all around. It's labor intensive but I'd go 1/4 coil at a time and no more than one coil. Trust me I just bought new ones to start over and next time I'm not going to cut. The rear springs are the likely culpret if it's lean ing befor you start.

Good luck
