Got more low! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My truck has been lowered 3/4 with 3" DJM lower control arms and 4" rear springs since 1997 when I restored it. I recently bought a CPP 1 1/4" sway bar kit and decided while I was under the truck to cut 1 coil out of the front and add some 1.5" blocks to the rear so as of tonight it sits at about 5/5.5? Sounds like a weird drop but it looks like most of the 4/6's I've seen, maybe a tad lower in the front but not too much rake. Sits just right and it rides way better with the sway bar for sure, no more falling out the door feeling. I also put new 255/60/15's on, which look great now that it's a little lower. Why didn't I do this years ago!

I do have a little turning radius issue but I think it's the steering arm hitting the sway bar because I didn't use the standees on the frame and the clearance is very tight.

I don't know but it needs to happen soon, I'm tired of tripping over all the boxes. My brother in law recruited me to lift his '09 next weekend...

I'm going to do my best. I have an oil leak (hate, hate, hate oil leaks) that is driving me nuts. I've replaced every gasket and the rear main and then engine only has like 2000 miles, it's clean all over and I still can't figure out where it's coming from. If I can get that fixed we'll be cruising all summer (except on really hot days with my boy). He complained the whole way down there last time and back.

Yes, always have and they looked ok at 3/4, now they look great. 275/55's on the back would look good too but I want to be able to rotate all 4.
