New Member introduction

Hi, my name is Robert. New member and all saying hello. I own a 1964 C10 Stepside with a small block 350 installed. She is fairly straight with little or no rust with 6 bolt power disk brakes up front. She has a little junk in her trunk, (lots of pea gravel), but overall, for $2500 I cant complain. Im presently banging away on installing power steering. Real interesting experience I tell ya what.

from AZ. It may be a pain to install the power steering, but you will like it when it's completed.

Thanks JK, but no the pea gravel wasnt included... I was doing some work in the back yard when I took the picture. Earlier, when the loader was filling up the bed, I found out how lame my rear suspension was!

She was wandering and complaining all the way home. Didnt dare take her over 30 miles an hour...

Welcome to the forum Robert

Yeah the C10's aren't typically setup to haul much weight like that.

Welcome to the forum. I'd say she did pretty well considering how much gravel is in the bed. That's a lot of weight! Any plans yet?

Re: New Member introduction

Pea gravel aside I really like the long bed and especially the stepside. I like the spare tire cutout too! Power steering is going to make a world of difference.

NIce truck man, and Welcome !!

I too like the long step with tire carrier ... you can never have enough places for whitewalls on a truck ...

Welcome to the site. Alot of good info here about converting to PS. Definitely recommend Captain Fab's adapter plate as well.

I really went overboard when I had her loaded up didnt I? I think they told me I was pushing a ton or more in the back!!!

Ive been doing lil stuff to the interior lately, slowing cleaning her up. New door stops, pedal pads, heater controls, etc. Working my way towards carpeting. My, but isnt that just way too civilized? Right now its been the gauges. Everything else is working fine, but the temp and fuel gauges, even though I have new parts at each end. Somewhere in the wiring and its driving me nuts.

At least the new NGK Iridium plugs and Accel coil cleaned up my hard starting and rough running... She really pulls strong now. But the granny gear four speed keeps me in check. She is a typical built small block. Edlebrock performer and carb, RV cam, headers, & an absolutely huuuge oil pan.

Ill post a shot of the engine soon.
