Need a couple of parts
Need a couple of parts for my 65. I am missing the spring out of the steering column that goes between the wheel and the turn signal switch. I also need some emergency brake parts. All that I have is the cable from the handle and the cables from the axles. When the PO put the 700r4 in the truck they tossed the rest. Its a short wheel base.

i have a complete ebrake crossmember bracket wich has all the parts on it . it has been blasted primed and painted . it came off a 64 swb i bought it for my 66 and didnt ralize 66 uses a different style if interested i could send a picture 75.00 plus its ride

What setup was in a 66? I have two cable guides that I found still hanging in the frame. And with the automatic in it now looks like I may need to fab something up.

66 used a different setup then the other years . a 66 has an intermediate cable that athaches to the frame with metal loops if you have a lmc catalog it shows a 66 setup i am missing the metal loops there should be 3 of them you dont have any extras do you

After you said 66 had a different setup I went on a search for pics and it looks like mine has some of the 66 stuff under it. I will look at the lmc catalog and see how much of it I have and that should tell me what I am missing. So it looks like I need stuff for a 66 to complete what is in the truck now and not 65.

kinda weird i have only known 66 to be different i am having trouble finding those metal rods do you have all 3 there are two short about 3 inch and one long about 12 inches

Went out in to the shop and going by the layout in the LMC book I need the intermediate cable one of the short cable guides and one of the pieces to hook the cable to the rear cables. If both of the short cable guides are the same I can make one if needed since I have one as a pattern.

I have the long on and one of the short ones. It may be a production date thing. I may decode my vin and see when it was built. Are you missing all 3?

Well I need to update the list of stuff I am looking for for this build. As I get closer the little things are needed. I also need a pair of backup lights and the trim for the glove box door. On the e-brake I need one of the clips for the intermediate cable and the cable.
