PS gearbox ID
How do you determine if a PS gearbox is a QR,VR or Standard Ratio?I'm wanting to add PS but everything I found suggests the VR box.I just haven't figured out how to tell which ones are VR.

You can't tell by looking at them. They all look the same. If you are going out to a wrecking yard find them off of a 77 or newer truck. If you are ordering one from a supplier, then they should ship you what you order. WES

There is a small differnce now that I think about it. The VR boxes have smaller diameter input shafts that the standard 68-76 power steering gears. WES
