Sway bar question

Now that I mounted airbags and tubular a arms on a 97 1500 truck there is no place to mount the sway bar or shocks. Is the sway bar necessary? How are you guys mounting it?

Re: Sway bar question

What brand tubular a-arms do you have?
Most have mounts for a sway bar.

Front sway bars are very desireable.... but not necessary. I install them on all of my builds.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Sway bar question

I had someone build the a arms for me but I didnt notice that there wasnt a spot for the sway bar after installing them what can I do now? The purpose of the sway bar is to control roll or side to side movement right? Does the sway bar affect the lifting and lowering of the truck?

The sway bar helps limit torsional twist & thus helps keep the truck 'flatter' in corners/turns. They can affect lifting/lowering if they bind. Using links on the ends vs. solid mounted bushings helps alot. See Ride Techs swivel links to get a good idea vs. how they mount from the factory.
