Rear gear options for '71 2wd jimmy/blazer
Does anyone know what gear ratios came with '71 2wd blazer/jimmy?? Mine came with a 350/automatic tranny...does not have positive traction...I'm thinking probably 308 or 342...not real sure??? I am ordering a 700R4 conversion and they need to know for speedo gearing I guess...Thanks...KD

Pop the dif cover and count the teeth. I'm sure it's time to change the lube anyway

my rear came with 373s and my jimmy 2wd came with 373s.. i thinks this is a common in blazers.

Mine is 350/auto 4x4 and has those @#$%#$@ 3.08 gears. I am looking for at least 3.73's to swap out.

With the 350 engine, 3.07/3.08 was the stock ratio.

pulled the cover today...14 teeth and 43 teeth...3.0714 ratio...new gear oil and gasket now...thanks all...kd
