2002 Silverado
I have an 02 silverado with stock 16 inch wheels on it. Tires are bad. I have a 97 chevy with a bad motor, doesnt run, but brand new tires. 02 is a 6 lug wheel and the 97 is a 5 lug. My question is will an older set of 64-72 15 inch 6 lug rims fit on my 02. I want to put new tires from 97 onto older 15 inch 6 lug rims on my 02. Backspace is 5.5 on 02 and from what I have read should be same on 64-72s. Any other ideas?

Re: 2002 Silverado
a 15 inch wheel is to small and wont clear your brakes...you will need 16 inch or larger wheels

Re: 2002 Silverado
Be careful on what rims you use. Most 15's won't clear.

Re: 2002 Silverado
Any idea what year the rims in the picture are off of? 72s did have disk brakes but im not sure if the size of the rotor has increased.
