Tips for resecuring chevy letters

Hi just bought the tailgate piece for my 70 cst. I was just wondering if anyone has tips for putting the Chevrolet letters that are iffy back on? I know I could just 3m tape underneath but I would rather not. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tim

Re: Tips for resecuring chevy letters

They as you know are riveted on. I would just use an epoxy glue from the backside. You may want to try to tap the little revit heads with a small punch, but i would just glue them. if you do however lose one they are availible

Thank You, I figured that someone had to deal with this before. On my way to get some 2 part epoxy.

Re: Tips for resecuring chevy letters

I'm in the same boat. PO must have cut the rivet heads off and used a glue. I'll do one with expoxy and the other with JB Welb and see which works the best. THANKS!!!

A little clear silicone will also work great!

Use this stuff all the time, silicone is way oversold (cheap but limited quality)
