repair gear indicator?

he guys,

can I repair this gear indicator thing on my dash? in the circle bottom right?

it is broken en therefor the gear indicator does not work.

Did you guys fix it? and how?

Do you have the piece? Hot glue it or find similar plastic and glue it on and file it. I would say go to a wrecker but your location...Nevermind.

hahaha, exactly, dont even go there...no wrecker near me...damn shame...

I dont have the piece, it came like this.

I wanted to use a bolt and drill a hole through the metal of the dash...but there is a solid piece af steel behind it for the steering wheel.

Hopefully somebody has some ideas for me...I'd really like the restore this, without completely replacing the dash behind it.

i was thinking if you could get a screw through from the back
nut it as soon as it comes through for not moving
leave a 1/2 inch or less sticking out
some how smooth off the threads,or a little sheath over them(pop rivit head?)
except for the last bit to put two more nuts locking them....

the problem is that behind the plate steel of the dash at this point is a massive part of steel holding the steering column...So there is now way I can drill through there...I already checked for that yesterday!
