I'm looking at this '68 C-10 long fleet

It's really pretty straight, overall.

The bed is in real good shape

The cab is not a rusty mess, either. Guy wants $1,000 for it. What do you think? The brakes are shot, but the 250 six fired right up and didn't smoke or knock. It's a California truck originally, but I have no idea how long it's been in Utah. I'll post some more pictures...

That rust is a little deeper than surface, but not much, nowhere near rusted thru. Of course, rockers and corners are rusted thru.

It's a heavy half-it has the overload spring.

The door latch on the driver's side don't latch. the piece that's on the door is bad, but I have others. In fact, I pretty much have everything this truck needs here at the house already. I think the windshield is probably the most expensive thing it needs to be on the road. I didn't try to drive it, because of the no brakes thing, but the clutch felt right.

It sounds like you know what needs to be done. These trucks usually do not hide to many surprises. If I were in your shoes I'd say it's a deal.

Yeah-that's the one. Looks like the consensus here is the one I was hoping for. I think I'll go ahead and try to get it. Need to work on my wife a little. She don't understand these things sometimes.

We should meet up someday, Heavy Evy. We're practically neighbors.
