Accuair Height Sensor Locations?

Does anyone have some pics showing the best mount location of the accuair height sensors?

I have the stock suspensions bits and trailing arms

We just posted a new section on our website that has a lot of install pictures. Plenty of C-10's on there and more to be added soon:

http://www.accuairsuspension.com/vehicles-tech.html

Click the tools symbol once you are looking at a given vehicle to see the tech/ installation photos when they are available. If that doesn't help we can email some pictures of other builds to get you on the right track.

Thanks for the reply. I have call you guys at least three times with different questions.

YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE SUPER GREAT AT ANSWERING QUESTIONS THROUGHLY AND IN A MANNER THAT A NOVICE WITH THE TECHNOLOGY CAN UNDERSTAND.

I have another question, does the height sensor have to be vertical with ground or can it be off centered like the picture below.

Off center is fine. And that is a very nice looking install!

Angry Re: Accuair Hieght Sensor Locations?

I have worked on this for about 8 hours now and I can't figure it out. I have followed the instructions and even had my wife come out to make sure I'm following the instructions properly. I just can't seem to get the sensor travel distance lower the 3.50. I have moved both the A and B position to numerous different locations along the upward arch of the rear frame. I have also just moved the B position closer to the pivot point and still get a travel distrance anywhere from 4.50 to 3.50. I lost and a little P/O.

Does anyone have some pictures of the height sensor locations on a truck with stock suspension and trailing arm? PLEASE.

Unfortunetly the truck Accurair used on the site has a four link rear end which doesn't help with picking a mounting location.

Anyone what to buy and unfinished project???????????????????

Dude... Your wife helped and everything??? I'm not sure why you can't find less travel than 3.5" on the rear. You could go all the way to the pivot point of the trailing arm and get zero if you wanted to. Maybe the pictures on this thread will help:

I think that's why i'm so frustrated, this should be really easy to figure out. There are some pics of the area I was looking at mounting the height sensor. The area between the tape on the frame. you can see the valve a little more to the left. I may have to move it, so I can put the height sensor closer to the pivot point.

Anyone have any thought please feel free to chime in.

Thanks.

Go inside the frame rail with the sensor. Then you can go further up the arm to get less travel. It will also make for better alignment to the trailing arm.

After spending some more time looking at it that's what I decided to try. I think I will make a bracket to box in the frame at the location I want to put the sensor. I will try to work on it this weekend and keep everyone updated.

Re: Accuair Height Sensor Locations?

I mounted my sensors on the inside of the frame like Accuair did in the link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=389328

I used a peice of a 2x4 as a spacer between the frame and the sensor, similar to the aluminum block Accuair made. I used large c-clamps to hold the sensor in place while i cycled the suspension. When the sensor was in the correct location, i drilled through the block and started drilling the frame. Once i got both hole marked, i took down the sensor and block and finished drilling. I then used two peice of pipe to replace the wooden block and long bolts to mount the sensors. click the link below and go to post #11 to see a pic of my rear sensor mounting. One of the nice things about the Accuair system is the sensors dont have to perfect. during the calibration step, the computer will figure out your setup and learn from there.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=429466

I know the sensors dont look stable in the pic, but they are solid as a rock.

Re: Accuair Height Sensor Locations?

Thanks for the posts, pics, and links and thanks to Accurair for the tech support, but I give up. After 4 days of moving things, making brakets, moving the suspension up and down, up and down numerous times, measuring, measuring and more measuring, and no progress, I'm going to find a shop to do the install. If I don't have I shop do it, I probably push the truck onto the street and put a "Free" sign on it.

This link no longer works. Is this info still out there?
