Throttle cable or rod?

Hey folks,

I'm curious what people are using for their throttle hookup from the lever at the firewall to the carb?

I have a mid-70s 350 in my '65 C10 with a Holley 4bbl and at the moment am using a fabricated rod to control the throttle but am curious if anyone is using a cable.

TIA

I installed a 400 small block in my 62 GMC,
and had to put in a cable set up for carb.
I like the feel much better.

BG62, did you keep the stock level that controls the cable (at the firewall)?

I want to go cable too but am trying to get a feel for how everyone has theirs set up.

Thanks

I was able to use the stock set up, peddle, linkage ect..
I took a small straight round piece of metal made a small opening ring on the top end of the piece.
welded it on the top of the stock linkage that's attached on the fire wall. I then had to drill a hole in the fire wall. Ran the cable into hole in firewall, attached it to the piece I welded on through the ring, crimped the end of the cable at ring.then just adusted.
I hope this helps im bad at explaining with written words.
I'll try to get some picture's
