Factory Steering Wheel?
I would like to know what this forum likes better. Do you prefer the factory steering wheel or a new Grant style steering wheel? I think when it comes to the inside of the cab the right steering wheel makes or breaks the look inside the cab. I still have the factory steering wheel but am thinking about a new steering wheel since everything on my truck is like new except the steering wheel. I can have the steering wheel restored or buy a new one. If you can post a pic of what steering wheel that looks best for a 1972 Chevy Truck please post.

I like the factory look, plus I like a big wheel anyways.
 You ever think about going back to a stock grill on your truck?

Its personal preference. For me other than for a complete original restore truck I would get rid of the factory wheel. I put grants on all mine and love em. Its a lot easier handling for around town and looks good. I don't know about everybody else but the factory wheels are a pain getting in and out of the truck and to big for the amount of leg room.

I personally like the original wheels, with the 67-68 being my favorite. But I also really like the ones that they sell in LMC that are similar to a Camaro or Corvette wheel.

greenbd, you know that's not the right steering wheel, right?
I used to like aftermarket, or later wheels, but I have a 67/68 in the longhorn on a tilt column and I'm kinda diggin it. |

Since the fact is the factory got it right with these trucks,anything factory looks best. Some changes look good,too. But the most tasteful changes are with keeping that GM feeling. Car wheels and later ones make a stylish and /or sporty touch.

I wish someone would make a smaller factory style wheel. I have a later model stock wheel in my truck. Its a nice size, but not my style.

in my one ton the power steering keeps oiling my parking spot, so I just let it go dry (putting another one in with a small block here soon) so the larger wheel is GREAT right now.
