I apologize ahead of time, 68 c10 350 to 454
Let me start off by saying I just joined this forum, I'm sitting at my desk at work so I can't look up the answer to my questions yet. I just purchased a 68' c10 long bed about a month ago. It has a powerglide and 350 combo in it now, however my brother-in-law built a 454 for his k5 blazer to go mudding with and the project fell through so I bought it for the pickup. I've not done anything this extensive in cars ever. I can tell there is enough room for the motor and have seen pictures of them in there but I'm not 100% faithful I know everything I will need for this swap.
The 454 is rebuilt and rated for 500+ horse and a sh** ton more torque. I know I need the reared rebuilt for that to be handled but what along with beefing up parts do I need to expect for just getting the motor in there? Shorty headers? Electric fan? Sorry ahead of time if this is a duplicate post. I'll put pictures up soon. Posted via Mobile Device |
