Tires
I am looking at putting a 3 inch lift on my '86 K5, and was wondering what sort of tires some of you guys are running with the same lift. I was thinking about some 35" BFG's, but the 3" lift kit says it can fit up to 33" tires.
Thanks for any/all input. Grant |

Re: Tires
Yep, 35's might fit on a 3" lift, but will likely rub w/o any fender trimming. Most 4" lifts say they'll work with 35" tires.

Re: Tires
Thanks for the reply, I may have to consider a 4" then, or just modify the fenders till it does not rub. It has a 305 in it now, plans are to eventually put a 383 into it so there will still be room in the engine bay.

Re: Tires
I agree with psycho. You can run 35's but expect some rub while turning. 33's are perfect for that lift. Another inch would solve your problems if you want 35's to clear.

Re: Tires
Yea I would do 33's with that and 4" lift would fit 35"s way better!

Re: Tires
I might be growing 4" inches this summer then Any suggestions on lift kits? I have been looking at BDS and tuff country. I kind of don't like how much the tuff country is for the lift kit, plus the longer shocks, the BDS is a little cheaper, still need to buy the shocks with that one.
