come-a-long strap
I have a old “Pull all” come-a-long from Heterford, PA. I am trying to replace the strap and did not know if the main shaft is to be pressed out. It has a little ring around one end but without any gap to pull it off. I get it to move very little but did not want to put too much pressure and break anything.
Has anyone replaced a strap can you tell me the procedure?

Re: come-a-long strap
It is all held together with pins not pressed. Have to disassemble it completely to see all the pins and then it comes apart and strap is back on.
